Data privacy is top AI concern for healthcare professionals in 7MM

For a third (33%) of healthcare professionals across seven major markets (7MM), data privacy remains the biggest challenge when integrating artificial intelligence into clinical practice, a GlobalData survey shows.

Sachin Gharat, deputy project manager of GlobalData's pharmaceutical division, said this reflects growing concerns about protecting patient information.

Workflow integration emerges as another key factor, with 32% of respondents citing the importance of integrating AI tools with existing clinical practices to ensure seamless care.

“Effective integration requires that AI tools are user-friendly, interoperable with electronic health records (EHRs), and adaptable to different clinical settings,” Garratt said.

Physician and patient acceptance were additional considerations, while regulatory compliance (19%) and legal liability (22%) were cited as relatively few.
