The team will work with NBMLHD to identify future health service needs.
The New South Wales state government in Australia has announced the appointment of a lead design team to begin planning for future investment in Blue Mountains Hospital.
Led by Health Infrastructure, the team will work with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) to identify future health service needs.
The plan is based on the region's draft Clinical Services Plan, which involves extensive consultation with health professionals and the local community. Early planning stages will determine the scope and budget of the future hospital.
Meanwhile, Health Infrastructure and NBMLHD are prioritizing immediate upgrades to existing hospitals, including ongoing work on the facility's roof and central disinfection services, as well as additional maintenance projects to follow.
