Legal and administrative measures are currently being taken against relevant violators.
Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the closure of a laser and water facial treatment center at a private medical center for violating professional licensing regulations.
An inspection by experts from the Ministry of Health’s Department of Healthcare Professions found that paramedics performed laser treatments on patients without the necessary medical consultation or doctor supervision.
Additionally, hydrofacials, skin cleansing procedures and other related services are performed by practitioners who lack the necessary professional licenses from the Ministry of Health.
These acts were found to be in violation of Law No. (11) of 1982 regulating medical institutions and Law No. (8) of 1991 regulating the practice of allied health professionals and its amendments pursuant to Law No. (14) of 1994 .
The ministry confirmed that legal and administrative measures are being taken against the center and the offending practitioners.
