Date:

Golden edge -The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) reiterated that it will not tolerate intervention in the internal affairs of the kingdom and will never be sovereignty with assistance or privileges.

The ruling party reiterated the position at its 45th Central Committee conference that the conference was held in the Chamkarmon district of the party from January 25th to 26th. The party's policy is to rule the country's framework under its leadership.

“The Convention has actively promoted the implementation of key foreign policy instructions, including obeying independent foreign policies based on international law and national interests. It maintains the principles of the United Nations Charter and the Cambodian Constitution with firm respect.”

“In any case, we will not allow any intervention in the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior, nor will it harm the sovereignty of the country in exchange for assistance or privileges. [The party] Support dialogue and diplomacy as a means to resolve disputes peacefully. “

The ruling party also outlines three principles for Cambodia to participate in various Indian Pacific strategies. These principles include the strategy of participating in the promotion of peace and development, refusing to oppose people from other countries, and support the vision of ASEAN and the Indian Pacific.

The CPP also reiterated its commitment to open, free, fair, transparent, and regular multilateral systems. According to a statement, this commitment will be realized through Cambodia's active participation as members of ASEAN and other regions and international organizations, which has made a significant contribution to the cause of peace and humanitarianism.

Pa Chanroeun, chairman of the Cambodian Institute of Democratic Research, pointed out that it is necessary to prevent intervention in the Cambodian internal affairs. As an overview of the 1993 Constitution, the constitution confirmed that Cambodia's sovereignty is an independent country.

However, he pointed out that establishing trade or partnership with other countries or groups usually requires compliance with specific conditions, such as respecting human rights and promoting democracy. He added whether these conditions are regarded as interference, or only the basic values of cooperation depend on Cambodia's views.

“If these 'conditions” involve the appeal of respecting human rights and promoting democracy, I will not think that this is interference. On the contrary, they are the basic value in the cooperation framework. In addition, respect for human rights and promoting democracy is also the core value of Cambodia, such as 1993 The constitution stipulates. “He said.

Cambodia will graduate from the category of the least developed countries (LDC) in December 2029, which may cause the country to lose some privileges to awarded developed countries in the United States.
