Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto warned all government officials to avoid corruption and fraud, as the public mixed comments on their government performance in the first 100 days.
The president said that within the first 100 days of the administration, he warned each department to “clean up” their actions or they “will be cleaned up.”
“I warned [the officials] So many times [after 100 days] “I will punish any clean government that resists, is stubborn or opposes the big wave,” he will say in his speech Wednesday.
The chairman of the Gerindra Party passed his government's 100-day mark last week and received different comments on his performance.
According to pollers Indikator Indikator Indonesia and Litbang Kompas, Prabowo is still working to provide his main plans, including free nutritious meals for school children and pregnant women.
That number is about 18 percentage points higher than his predecessor, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who served as president in 2015, while the rating at the end of last year was 5 percentage points higher.
However, the Jakarta-based think tank Center for Economic and Legal Research (CELIOS) made negative comments on the performance of Prabowo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and the Cabinet Minister. Ministers who received the worst comments were Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai, Cooperative Minister Budi Arie Setiadi, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Balir Rahada Bahlil Lahadalia and Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni.
The group recommends that the president should replace underperforming ministers in the reorganization.

Prabowo said every leader must be able to set a good example, even if it means they must take unwelcome actions.
In response to the criticism, he said he would take action against those who performed poorly.
“Those who don’t want to work for the people, I’ll get rid of them,” he told reporters after Wednesday’s event, but without elaboration.
