Islamabad – PTI founder Imran Khan wrote the second “open letter” to Army Chief of Staff Asim Munir on Saturday complaining about alleged abuse of prison.
Imran Previously on February 3, Imran wrote to the Army Chief, claiming that the distance between the army and the public is getting farther and farther away. According to his letter, the military needs to reassess its policies to win the public with the reasons and suggestions put forward by Imran to correct the situation.
However, security sources said the military has not received the letter and has rejected a report on the existence of such letters in the media. They claimed that military agencies were not interested in receiving such letters.
He said in a letter posted on his Imran X account today: “The Prison Administration…has caused all injustice to me to increase pressure on me while also violating basic human rights. I have been locked up in one Dead cells. I was completely locked for 20 days and even the sun didn't reach me.
“Five days, the electricity in my cell was turned off and I was completely in the dark. My exercise equipment and TV were taken away and I wasn't even allowed to open a newspaper. They even refused books anytime, anywhere. Except for these 20 days Outside, I was locked for 40 hours again. My sons have only been able to talk to me three times over the past six months.”
He said he had written “good will to improve the country and the country so as to reduce the gap between the army and the people every day, but responded with extreme rashness and irresponsible ability”.
Imran claims that if public opinion is raised, 90% will support his previous letter’s views.
The PTI founder spoke in detail about his criticism of the country's recent legal and political developments and the problems facing his political parties and workers.
“It all goes against our tradition, so hatred for the army has increased a lot among the people, and if corrected in time, it is better for the army and the country, otherwise, the irreparable losses may have to be borne from all. yes.
Imran concluded: “It is crucial for the stability and security of the country that the gap between the army and the people is reduced, and there is only one way to reduce this growing gap, which is the military’s recovery of its constitutional boundaries, Separating from politics and fulfiling its designated responsibilities, this task must be done by the Army itself, otherwise this growing gap will become a fault line during the national security term.”
