One of the key priorities is to develop AI-driven healthcare technologies.
Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (HKIC) and New Frontier Group have collaborated to promote cross-border medical research and clinical applications in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
The collaboration will leverage Hong Kong’s medical research capabilities, medical infrastructure and international networks to promote innovation and development in the healthcare sector. Key areas of focus will include enhancing healthcare collaboration, cultivating AI-driven healthcare technologies, and supporting clinical research.
The partnership will introduce the “Hong Kong R&D-GBA Transformation” model, thereby facilitating the exchange of advanced diagnostic solutions and medical technologies. New Frontier Group will work to promote medical innovation in Hong Kong in the GBA and vice versa while attracting international medical talent in the region.
Both constructs will also establish an international medical research platform that invests in clinical trials and contract research organizations (CROs) to commercialize medical solutions.
In addition, AI, smart technology and robotics will be integrated into healthcare services to personalize care and create forward-looking health management models in Hong Kong.
