Funds will be evenly distributed across three key projects. Scone Memorial Hospital will receive $158,000 ($250,000) to expand its emergency room by converting temporary spillover areas into permanent space.
Meanwhile, Muswellbrook Hospital will use its share to build a new palliative care room that includes a suite and support space for caregivers.
Dungog Hospital will also receive $158,000 ($250,000) to develop new employee accommodation, thereby increasing the capacity of temporary medical workers.
