Only Kuwaiti patients who paid for themselves will return.
Thailand's Bumrungrad Hospital (BH) is expected to report net profit of USD 50 million (BT1.7B) in the fourth quarter of 2024 (Q4 2024), reflecting a year-on-year decline of 1.3% and a quarter-on-year decline of 13.1% Ubud Kay Uob Kay Hian said it was in a quarter of decline.
The decline was due to weak international patient numbers, with only out-of-pocket Kuwait patients (contributing 25% of Kuwait revenue from BH) returning.
Meanwhile, the timeline for the Kuwait government’s patient referral system is uncertain.
“We still want BH to make effective cost control efforts despite the pressure,” Uob Kay Hian said.
It added: “So, BH's profits may still be flat.”
