According to the Australian government, the $168 million ($265 million) upgrade at the NSW hospital port of Macquarie Base Hospital has led the program with a new project team.
Turner and Townsend were selected as project managers, and Altus will serve as cost managers after a competitive bidding process.
Additionally, the team will start early plans in partnership with Health Infrastructure and the North Coast local health district.
The upgrade will include mechanical system improvements in the existing hospital building and expansion of the emergency and maternal departments.
The final scope of the project will be determined during the planning and design phases, and a construction timetable will be set after the builder is appointed.
