By 2033, the hospital is expected to replace about 600 beds and add 100 beds.
National University Hospital (NUH) has begun major reconstruction of its Kent Ridge campus
Singapore’s Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said the hospital is expected to replace half of its 1,200 existing beds by 2033 and add 100 new beds.
“By 2038, the remaining beds will also be replaced, with an additional 200 beds added to reach the total capacity of 1,500 beds.”
In addition, NUH will upgrade the emergency department, operate theaters and professional outpatient clinics.
