Trader Joe's has been raising potential problems with natural mineral water by its Gerolsteiner suppliers, the retailer said in a product safety announcement posted on its website on Wednesday. Trader Joe's said the problem was determined by studies related to bottle rupture during production and could affect 1% of bottles containing any of the following lots:
- 2024/28/11 24 2027/19/12
- 2024/271/11 24 2027/18/12
However, the CPSC recall notice lists the batch numbers slightly different, giving the following two batch numbers:
- 11/28/2024 l
- 11/27/2024 l

Trader Joe said: “If your code has any batch numbers, please do not use them. We urge you to handle them carefully and then go to any trader Joe's for a full refund.”
However, the CPSC notice states that although there is no need for proof of purchase, customers will have to return the bottle from the affected lot to the store, where they are purchased for refund in cash or credit.
