Reconstruction is still underway.
The Australian government is investing $15.7 million in Blue Mountain Hospital in New South Wales to upgrade services and infrastructure.
The main improvements will be concentrated in the hospital's emergency rooms, outpatient services, inpatient areas and central disinfection service departments.
In addition, structural enhancements of the building, such as roof repairs, air conditioning upgrades and improved lift access, are also part of the planned work.
Once the planning and design phase is completed and the building contractor is selected, the construction timeline for the remaining projects will be confirmed.
Meanwhile, the future reconstruction of Blue Mountains hospital is being planned.
Community members are encouraged to participate in information meetings to learn more about the proposed upgrade and reconstruction plans.
