The parties involved accused the former king of Nepal of conspiracy against the Republic

Date:

Kathmandu – The meeting of the main leaders of the intimate party concluded that former king Gynendra Shah was the main choreograph of conspiracy activities aimed at undermining the constitution and overturning the federal Democratic Republican system.

After the meeting, Interior Minister Ramesh Lekhak said that the current governance system was achieved through long-term struggles. Lekhak also stressed that consensus was reached among political parties to unite the constitution and ensure national development and public safety.

“No anti-constitutional activity will be tolerated,” Interior Minister Laikak said in a conversation with the media after the meeting.

Shakti Basnet, deputy secretary-general of CPN (Maoist Center), said the government's actions to control the Royalist Party's activities were said to mean that the Republican Party must move forward by correcting any errors under the current system. Basnet mentioned that his party made the proposal at a party-wide meeting.

“It's time for political parties to seriously reflect on actions that may harm public sentiment,” Busnett told the Post.

Despite the Republican disagreements on various issues, former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is also the chairman of Nepal Samjbadi party, proposed at a full party meeting that they must unite against recent anti-public activities supported by former King Gyanendra Shah.

“Gyanendra Shah has long acted as though he was still the king, and the political parties and governments have mercilessly ignored the incident. However, this incident was incited on March 28, and he was a crime. His actions have now crossed the line. That's why I raised things in all the actions that must be faced, and bhattarai said again when he faced the law.

During the Royalist protests in the Tinkune area, two people were killed, with both public and private property suffering widespread damage.

The full party meeting on Sunday night did not include the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), the fourth and fifth largest parties in the parliament. Neither side reportedly invited to the meeting, viewing it as an anti-public force.

Prime Minister Oli convened the meeting after a violent event in Tinkune on March 28. Although RPP is a pro-season party, the establishment of RSP is a commitment to the country's Republican system.

RSP agent Manish Jha said the party's official report was adopted at last year's Jaleshwar meeting and had articulated their political direction. JHA asserted that RSP is more Republican and democratic than just claiming to be such a party.

In addition, the JHA claimed that Prime Minister Oli excluded RSP from a party-wide meeting on Sunday due to the influence of the Nepal Parliament partner of the government's main alliance partner.

“The Congress and its leaders do not want to recognize the RSP as a political party. That's why the Prime Minister did not invite us to the full party meeting in order not to discontent with the main alliance partners in the government,” the JHA said Congress was not invited to the full party meeting.

Similarly, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the leader of the main opposition party and chairman of the CPN (Maoism Center), was a full-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Oli. Although Dahal was unable to participate outside Kathmandu, the party was represented by Vice-Chairmen Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Pampha Bhusal.

Alliance partners participated in the meetings, including Congress, CPN-UML, Janata Samajbadi Party, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Loktantantrik Samajbadi Party.

Similarly, opposition parties such as Maoist Centre, CPN (United Socialist) and former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who are also chairman of the Nepal SAMAJBADI party.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister and UML Chairman Oli said that on March 28, the Royalists had promoted violence on the streets.

On Sunday, Oli, at a UML Secretariat meeting in the Chyasal Party Office on Sunday, Oli claimed that the royalists deliberately tried to cause unrest.

Yubaraj Gyawali, Vice Chairman and member of the Secretariat, said: “Their intentions are incorrect.

However, the Prime Minister assured that those responsible for the violence would be punished under the law.

“Anarchy and unrest are being incited. Democracy and the Constitution are intentional. “We must work hard to support democracy and will control violations under the law.”

Prime Minister KP Oli informed the party's Secretariat meeting that the government did not anticipate the unrest caused by the royalist organization on March 28.

“We originally wanted the protests to remain peaceful, but this was a miscalculation for us,” one secretariat quoted the prime minister to the post.

The party's Secretariat meeting called for an investigation into the protests and urged the government to comply with the legal review. Furthermore, the party demands that former King Gyanendra Shah should also face legal action if he is convicted during the investigation.

“Analyzing the order of events, the party recommended that the former king should also be brought into the legal framework if necessary,” said the party's secretariat member.

Asked about Ollie's public remarks to the protesters (some believe they are overreactive), members of the Party Secretariat said they advised him to remain firm in opposition to misconduct while maintaining restraint and patience when talking about other matters.

Speaking at the 8th International Women Entrepreneurs Trade Fair in Lalitpur before the protest day, Prime Minister Oli said that small protests and rallies often occur in the country, and there is no need to worry.

“In fact, nothing big happens on Friday. Rally of 10,000 to 15,000 people are held regularly in Kathmandu. There is no need to exaggerate the small issues as a crisis,” Ollie said.

The party also assessed that the Royalist movement is unlikely to fade anytime soon.
