The Mandalay facility suffered physical damage and operation was suspended.
OUE Healthcare Limited has released the latest news about the PUN HLAING hospital in Yangon, Mandalay and Taunggyi facilities and followed a magnitude 7.7 earthquake in Myanmar on March 28.
After preliminary examinations, the hospital's management confirmed that the Mandalay facility suffered physical damage and suspended the surgery.
Meanwhile, although the surgeries in these hospitals are affected by the power shortage, Yangon and Zongji Hospitals are still largely unaffected.
“As the widespread damage caused by Mandalay Island and communications has been severely hampered after the earthquake, the full scope of the impact on the group can only be determined after a more detailed assessment,” the company said.
To date, no casualties have occurred in employees or patients.
