This will allow patients to receive subsidized counseling services.
The Health Bureau announced an expanded pilot program to support patients at the Greater Bay Regional Hospital Administration of Guangdong.
The government said in a statement that the plan will be extended until March 31, 2026. This will allow qualified patients from the Hospital Authority (HA) to choose to receive subsidized consulting services in designated partner health care facilities in the Greater Bay Area.
Currently, the program is applicable to the University Hospital of Hong Kong (HKU-SZH).
The bureau said it would take an enhanced measure to provide patients with more targeted health care support.
To utilize subsidies, patients are required to participate in consultations with the HAS-SZH service department, which correspond to the outpatient service category of HA.
The scope of subsidy consulting services under this program will continue to cover outpatient services provided by HA. At the same time, excluding episodes, hospitalizations, or daily hospitalizations and accidents and emergency services.
Qualified patients who wish to continue to participate in the pilot program can date through existing channels. They should also complete a statement to confirm continued participation at HKU-SZH.
Qualified patients in the beginner program or patients who require personal data updates are invited to submit their application to HKU-SZH.
