Seoul – Former President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee will finally leave their official residence this Friday in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to bring 11 pets, including cats and dogs.
This means the couple will share their 4-bedroom apartment with six dogs and five cats at the Acro Vista complex in southern Seoul. Part of the 37-storey high-rise building plant, including 757 residential and commercial units, the couple's home has 164 square meters of floor space. Before moving to the presidential residence, the couple who had no children lived there with seven pets – four dogs and three cats.
However, since moving into the president's residence, their animal companions have grown to 11. The most recent addition was in December 2022, when the couple adopted their 11th pet, Saeromi (Labrador Hound and Retired Instructor).
Local reports say Yoon may be considering relocation to another private residence in the Greater Seoul area, such as Changshan or gapyeong in Yeonjong province, as temporarily settled in Seocho-Dong because their apartment may not be suitable for keeping so many pets, and the presence of security personnel may make the neighbors uncomfortable.

Yoon, who was removed from power and deprived of the rights and privileges brought by the presidency, is still eligible for protection from the PSS for up to 10 years under current law.
The presidential bodyguard reportedly formed a security team of about 50 people to provide protection to the former president, which will begin once he leaves his official residence.
