RS Pondok Indah Group receives world-class health care at the 2025 Healthcare Awards Ceremony

Date:

Its innovations have been developed that allow hospitals to provide more precise, effective and personalized services to each patient.

RS Pondok Indah Group was recognized at the coveted Healthcare Asia Awards 2025, as its key achievements over the past year consistently adapt to advances in medical technology and patient needs – upgrading facilities, enhancing digital systems, and continually improving the skills of healthcare professionals.

Some of its key initiatives include opening a new hospital branch in a strategic, easily accessible area of Jakarta, establishing a new centre of excellence at RS Pondok Indah – Bintaro Jaya, expanding diagnostic services at RS Pondok Indah – Pondok Indah, adding more operating rooms at RS Pondok Indah – Puri Indah, introducing the convenience of scheduling doctor appointments online, and enhancing digital hospital information systems for improving efficiency.

Additionally, it continues to invest in developing staff through certification programs, technical and clinical workshops, and advanced degrees. It also deploys guidance programs and knowledge sharing between departments and hospitals.

The hospital also highlights its use of advanced medical technology, an important factor in more accurate and faster patient service.

“The digital process enhances our patient journey, quality of care and patient safety, allowing us to access actionable data, simplify operations and improve our business decision-making and strategic planning processes,” said Mars, CEO of RS Pondok Indah Group.

In the community, RS Pondok Indah Group focuses on healthcare education, covering topics of preventive healthcare and promotional education as well as treatment options. They use digital channels and social media to attract a larger audience and provide them with trustworthy information.

In addition, it provides patients and the wider community with a platform to share their feedback and ensure that their needs and voices are heard. This approach can help hospitals build trust and shape service services to meet patient expectations.

RS Pondok Indah Group has been awarded the Hospital of the Year – these major breakthroughs in Indonesia.

Change patient care through advanced diagnosis

The hospital is proud of several of its services that highlight state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge innovation.

This includes its CT scan 512 slices, which includes artificial intelligence (AI). The technology has unique advantages such as fast scanning in a single heartbeat, higher resolution imaging, extensive section coverage, stable image quality, and automation of AI technology for patient and cardiac positioning.

Another technology is its MRI 3 Tesla Skyra, which uses a high-field MRI machine, which has the advantage of one to three Teslas.

Meanwhile, the RS Pondok Indah-Puri Indah facility uses endovascular ultrasound (IVUS) and orbital artery resection, which significantly improve the accuracy and safety of coronary artery disease treatment. These cutting-edge tools are crucial in percutaneous coronary interventions, especially in calcified plaques that respond to calcified arteries.

Its IVUS AVVIGO system offers excellent features such as automatic measurement and HD images, allowing experts to view the inside of the artery in detail – no need for contrast dyes. This technology minimizes risk and provides patients with a safer experience.

When it comes to severe calcification, the hospital’s orbital artery resection system (OAS) is the only FDA-approved device designed specifically for this purpose. It smoothly sands hard plaques, providing space for stent placement while minimizing heat generation, reducing risks such as arterial damage. The ability of the system to allow continuous blood flow during treatment ensures the safety and efficiency of the surgery.

RS Pondok Indah – Pondok Indah also uses optical coherence tomography (OCT). OCT is an advanced diagnostic imaging technology that uses infrared light and optical fiber to create detailed images of the heart arteries. OCT is crucial in percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), providing doctors with an accurate field of view of coronary disease during catheterization.

With OCT, an interventional cardiologist can evaluate the interior of the blood vessels and clearly identify the type of plaque, such as calcium, fibrous tissue, fat, or a mixture of three plaques. This helps the doctor to accurately select the right stent size and ensures that the process is optimal. OCT also allows immediate evaluation of stent placement to ensure its position and expansion.

RS Pondok Indah Group also has its robotic prostate biopsy capability, which is suitable for patients with high prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, abnormal findings from rectal examinations, prostate cancer under active monitoring, and patients with conventional prostate biopathy with benign and benign outcomes but with persistent high PSA levels.

The group also highlighted the commitment to deliver faster and more accurate results through advanced overall laboratory automation (TLA). TLA can automate every step of the test process, from sample preparation to analysis, improving the efficiency and accuracy of biochemical and immunologic testing.

These advanced diagnostic machines and features won the RS Pondok Indah Group's Diagnostic Provider of the Year – Indonesia Title.

Expertise-driven technology

With the significant milestones in the RS Pondok Indah Group in conducting health care, it is clear that technology plays a key role in advancing how people understand, diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions.

The hospital is proud of its intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring to minimize the risk of nerve damage during surgery. This advanced technology is particularly valuable in processes involving the nervous system, such as neurosurgery and spinal surgery.

At the same time, complex brain and spinal surgery requires excellent accuracy. With the Zeiss Kinevo 900s, its surgeons benefit from state-of-the-art 4K 3D imaging technology, enhancing the visualization of complex structures and ensuring precise and effective interventions in complex surgeries. The tool supports a variety of procedures including brain tumor removal, spinal repair and breast reconstruction.

RS Pondok Indah Group also provides vertebral body bondage (VBT) for children and adolescents with scoliosis – an innovative approach to maintain spinal flexibility while correcting abnormal curvature. This is especially effective for people who are still in the growth stage, as using a stent alone is not enough to prevent the progression of scoliosis.

The company notes that all the advanced technologies and medical technologies it adopts reflect its commitment to providing leading healthcare services in Indonesia. But after all these advancements, one thing remains at the core: a holistic approach to patient care.

“Human touch is the essence of every interaction we engage with patients. The combination of medical expertise, cutting-edge technology and empathy is what motivates us to provide the best healthcare,” Yanwar said.

The RS Pondok Indah Group wins service innovation this year with these top, technology-driven healthcare services.
