Jaipur – On the occasion of Dr Ambedkar Jayanti, the Rajasthan Congress reiterated its commitment to defending the Constitution and urged the ruling BJP and its government not to undermine the constitutional provisions of political interests.
Working at the party’s state headquarters to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Rajasthan Congress head Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that the 100,000 workers of Congress workers, who are strong determination and will, are ready for the constitution.
“In a blatant violation of the Constitution, the BJP tried to polarize politics and society. However, they would neither succeed in destroying democracy nor abandoning the Constitution,” Lambawa said.
He reminded the party that it was the first Home Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who took the first lawsuit against RSS to violate constitutional principles.
Rajasthan opposition leader Tika Ram Jully recalled that the RSS mentality was exposed when protests were staged and the constitution was burned down when protests were adopted in the country.
“BJP leaders often pretend to be suspicious of when and how to violate the constitution. But there are many examples that say a lot about their attitudes.”
He accused Rajasthan of breach of illegal constitutional norms related to the schedule and procedures for elections by urban citizen institutions in the state.
He asserted: “They cannot postpone the election beyond the term of the elected institution. However, they did so and continued to do so under the pretext of 'one country, one election'.”
Dotasra also condemned the actions of BJP leader Gyan Dev Ahuja, who allegedly sprinkled Ganga Jal in Alwar’s Ram Temple after Lop Jully entered, saying it was an act that violated the principle of equality for all citizens.
He said that even after 13 days, the BJP leaders failed to take appropriate action, revealing the “discriminatory face of the BJP”.
The state legislator director called on party workers to prepare to fight what he called the BJP “unconstitutional, fascist tendencies and community mindsets.”
